The Short and sweet of it....

Life never, ever fails me...ever.
First a disclaimer...
yeah yeah...
The Sidebar story(SBT) is NO WAY, a representation of any non fictional character. Nor does it represent MY views on ANY particular individual, blogger or their space on their blog. I take words, titles are words and in no way INFER anything than what it is words, that are floating about, and strung together, as my noggin sees fit. The Characters speak...FICTIONAL.
It was a way about 5 years ago to do a massive pimpage, shout out what have you to my then massive sidebar(over 100+ links).
I continued on with it,as links change and etc etc....
If I include your link in the story it is for A. Linking and a shout B. Not at all what I feel or think of YOU.
If you are linked consider that I am an adoring fan. I would never in anyway use this space to "flame", or insult a friend.
IF I have offended anyone let me know. IF you would like to be REMOVED from SBT or my sidebar let me know. I am not that easily offended.
K? K.
Its either feast or famine, and when I started this little chapter story, I had no immediate plans for anything beyond oh say tomorrow. Yes Deb..you hit the nail on the head!
(And no Deb didnt say anything about the story, it was a previous comment on another post....)
Then I received a call. A request.
One that is daunting and well, now I am on a mission.
THe short of it...to make a design to be etched in a headstone.
A client of mine had passed away last Memorial day weekend and in Feb of that year his mother, well had an untimely passing.
So the request is: A mother and a son, holding hands(in silhouette), the boy throwing rocks and out of the splash are two doves flying away.
The rocks makes more sense if you know the back story.
anyhoo....
So I am banging my head...here is what I have so far....
Not sure how etching is done or engraving on granite is...I have seen beautiful artwork at cemeteries...Its to help and to give the memorial place an idea. If anyone wants to help or would like to submit something...let me now. IT can be painted, sketched, psp...whatever...Let me know. I will reward ya kindly.(not sure how but I will...and not $) lol...Pass the word...
Peace
and are we all straight now?

Not to ignore the bottom but what? Someone bitched out about your blog? WTH?
First time visitor, I haven't read much but followed your comment as a fellow wal-mart corp hater.

I need to check the rest of your blog when I have quiet time to read.

And on the design, I think I like the second but would suggest moving the opacity of the figures and see how that looks, I do like the slight ghosting they have in the first one.
hth
That is a difficult request, isn't it? But I think your work so far looks great!
I too like the 2nd photo, think it would be great if you continued the spirit-like quality of the figures in the first photo.
And if the rocks symbolize something more, for them personally, maybe making them stand out a bit more??

As an aside, it sounded like your 'disclaimer' was a result of an actual experience with someone?? I haven't spent a lot of time here yet, though what I have read, you come across as someone with values and ethics. I can't imagine you writing to intentionally 'hurt' someone or somehow cause pain.
If you're looking for more of a general 'disclaimer' for your writings, I would think a simple statement on your sidebar would suffice, and all that would be needed.
And if anyone has a problem with that??

Tell 'em to Go to Hell!

hi jod(i),
i loved your story idea how you threw blog names in it as they fit for your story. i thought it was clever and fun. i didn't think you were trying to hurt anyone. i got a kick out of what you did. i maybe want to try to write a fiction with blog names sometime if you don't might me using the blog name idea. i have to come up with a really wild setting and story idea though.

but good job, it was so fun what you did. i enjoyed it.

and did i miss seeing "kathleen" in it??? he he. giggle.

great day,
kathleen
I like the third one. Maybe an abstract shoreline in it would help but it's my favorite.
Maria:
Not somuch bitch, but made a notion that it "could" offend someone...I am done with my ire, i think i said what i had to :D

Sister Sassy:
Wooo Hoooo! A fellow Wal mart hater! Yeah! THanks for popping by always enjoy new people and new reads to follow!

Chris:
He picked one and loved them all! It was more to give the artist that will be etching the granite an idea of what they were looking for- I was pleased.

Greeneyez:
Hey hello! I did a more bland one, the third, as it is going against granite, so as to see the possibilities more clearer. Make sense? He picked one and was happy! SO I am.

Kathleen:
THank you....

Newnorth:
THat is the one he is bringing to the artist who is doing the work on the granite.
